Happy New Year!

Last night we had a crazy party at the grandparent's house.  Kevin wasn't feeling very well, because he had diarrhea that morning, so we weren't planning on staying too late.  However, we got involved in a game of risk with my cousin, and we ended up staying later than planned.  We didn't finish the game, but currently Grig is winning.

Kevin had a great time playing with his cousins. He was feeling much better by nighttime, and so we dared expose everyone else.  We warned them that he'd been sick, and they were okay with it.  At about 9:30, we went home to try and put Kevin to bed.

He did not want to sleep.  I tried for a while, but he just got happier and happier.  So, finally, we took him out and let him play around for a while.  After midnight, he finally went to bed.  We heard fireworks go off outside and we wished each other a Happy New Year!  We were watching a show, so we finished the episode and I put Kevin to bed. 

We played around for a while, but when Kevin woke up about 1:30 a.m., I decided to go to bed.  Grig and Havelock went to bed a while later. 

It's the beginning of 2014.  Crazy.  I remember when 2000 occurred and everyone thought the world was going to end because computers can't count to 2000....wait.  When did that ever make sense?

Anyway, we are going to be setting some goals today and having a friend over to play with Kevin.  This little guy and Kevin met at the library.  They immediately clicked, so we decided they must need to be friends.  They're going to join us for lunch and playtime.

It should be a good day. Hopefully we don't get sick.
